Water Wombles is a friendly community group dedicated to keeping Bootle's canals and towpaths clean, greener and bluer for everyone. Meeting fortnightly, we work together by canoe and on foot to collect litter, protect local wildlife and care for our waterways. It's free to join, no experience is needed, and you'll be welcomed by a supportive group of people who enjoy making a difference while having a laugh along the way!
Join us on the water by canoe. All staff are qualified paddle instructors and here to give you full instruction to ensure you are confident AND competent on the water!
Due to capacity and to ensure your health and safety, make sure you book on to the sessions before turning up!! Just click the button above!
If you want to be involved but don't fancy going on the water... join us on the towpath and Womble alongside us on dry land! You'll still be involved in the banter and there is plenty of litter to collect on the paths!
We are proud to be working alongside the 'Canal & River Trust' and even prouder to share that we were trained by CRT coaches! So you will be in the BEST hands!
